Margaret Horwatt, the Executive Director of The Rama Tree, our 501c3 non-profit organization, has been working with non-profits in Hawai’i for over 10 years.
In 2003 she founded Youth Horizons Hawai’i, a 501c3 organization that sponsors activities, character building and mentoring programs for youth and young adults on the Big Island.
She is a member of Ulumau, the Hawai’i Island Leadership Series, which sponsors community leadership training and local sustainability efforts. Margaret also serves on the committee for the North Hawai’i Community Development Plan.
In addition to her love for working with non-profits, a gifted healer, Margaret graduated from the Amar-Asian Institute of Chinese Medicine and has been practicing acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and massage for 30 years.
