WHAT IS A GICLEE?
Representing an extraordinary elevation in printmaking technology, giclees (zhee-klays, French for spray) are so beautiful they are hard to distinguish from originals. Giclees are the highest level of fine art reproduction ever achieved. Generated from 200 individual high-resolution digital scans, they are printed with archival quality inks onto canvas or heavy acid free paper. With a wide gallery wrap for stretching, they require neither glass nor framing, allowing the power of Rama’s impact and the exquisite nature of the vanishing ones to be felt directly.

Currently, twenty-two Rama Exhibition paintings are available as fine art giclees by Master Giclee Printer, Paul McCormick, of Kamuela, Hawai’i. Search the world over and you will not find a higher quality giclee. Paul meticulously takes 200 photographs of each of Calley and Rama’s paintings to create each giclee. These giclees are extraordinary works of art unto themselves, with their own beauty, texture and detail. For optimum presentation, the 36” giclees embellished with metallic gold are highly recommended.
